What does CSIOBS do in the winter?

As you might imagine, our island shuts down in the winter. Pack ice is no friend to a boat full of 100+ students, nor is the freezing New England winter to kayak-camping trips with young kids!

During the winter, our experienced instructors organize in-classroom activities, working with our partner schools and teachers to develop introductory curriculums that build camaraderie, trust, and socialization within the traditional classroom. This allows us to prepare our students, foster trust, and build strong group relationships before they visit the island.
