Youth-Serving Partner Programs
Together with schools and youth organizations, we design transformative experiences that foster leadership, character, and a sense of responsibility to self, peers, and community.
Middle and high school are formative years—when confidence is tested, identity takes shape, and peer connections matter.
We partner with schools and youth-serving organizations to design wilderness-based experiences that meet students at this stage. Programs are aligned with your mission, giving students meaningful responsibility, authentic connection, and a powerful reset from the constant pull of screens. In a fully screen-free environment, students rediscover focus, face-to-face connection, and the confidence that comes from real-world challenge.
Each course supports leadership development, grade-level transitions, community building, and social-emotional growth. Removed from digital distraction, students step into presence, practice resilience, and experience the kind of belonging that can’t be built through a device.
This isn’t an “extra trip.” It’s education in motion—grounded in challenge, reflection, and belonging.
In the outdoors, learning is active, immediate, and shared.
Students navigate trails, paddle open water, manage sails, cook meals, make decisions, and adapt to changing conditions. They take on real responsibility—and gain the confidence that comes with it.
Through challenge and guided reflection, participants develop:
–Confidence grounded in competence
–Leadership that inspires collaboration
–Clear, responsible communication
–Sound judgment & risk awareness
–Empathy & inclusive teamwork
–Resilience in discomfort & uncertainty
These skills are practiced daily—on ridgelines, aboard sailing vessels, around camp stoves, and in meaningful group conversations. Growth is shared: students learn to rely on one another, listen with intention, and lead with compassion.
Environment shapes perspective.
In Maine, students explore forested mountains, lakes and rivers, and a rugged, island-dotted coastline, developing adaptability, teamwork, and shared leadership.
In Costa Rica, students trek rain and cloud forests, navigate whitewater rivers, explore vibrant coasts, and engage in local service, building global awareness, humility, and environmental stewardship.
Across all locations, unfamiliar settings invite students to step beyond routine roles and discover new strengths—often surprising themselves.
Growth happens when students feel seen, supported, and challenged.
Our instructors guide conversations about leadership, respect, group culture, and personal identity. Students reflect on how they contribute to their team, respond to adversity, and influence their community.
Social-emotional skills—self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, and responsible decision-making—are woven into daily life and continue to fuel growth long after the course.
Participants leave with stronger peer connections, greater confidence, increased compassion and cultural awareness, and a clearer sense of responsibility.
Trust and care are at the core of our work. Our instructors combine technical expertise with thoughtful mentorship, creating an environment where safety and challenge exist side by side. Decades of experience guide our systems and supervision, allowing students to take healthy risks, discover their capabilities, and grow with confidence.
Whether you’re strengthening student leadership, guiding a pivotal transition year, or expanding access to meaningful experiential learning, we’re ready to partner with you. Together, we can design a program aligned with your mission—one that challenges students to grow, deepens connection within your community, and builds the confidence and compassion they carry back into school and life.
This experience showed me that I could do more than I thought I could. I have always wanted to change the world, but before this trip, I did not think I could. The lesson that I can truly do anything I want to if I put my mind to it was probably the most life-changing part of this course.
