Community Events

Discovery Days

Community Events take place during our Discovery Days — select Saturdays throughout the year when we open our course elements to the public and invite the community to experience Outward Bound activities like zip lining, canoeing, rock climbing, and more. Discovery Days are free to attend and lots of fun for the whole family!

March Discovery Day - Rock Wall Climbing

  

Join POBS for free rock climbing at our indoor rock wall. The activity is suitable for participants of any experience level, including beginners, ages 8 and up. POBS will provide equipment and instruction. Four climbing sessions will be offered over the course of the day on a first come, first serve basis. Participants must fill out a risk and liability waiver in order to participate. Children and youth must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. No need to sign up in advance – just come on out! (See below).

The Discovery Center is located at 3401 Reservoir Drive in Fairmount Park (across from Smith Playground).
