Your Outdoor Classroom

Outward Bound courses aren’t just adventures—they’re intensive learning experiences that develop critical life skills. You’ll practice leadership under pressure, learn to communicate with diverse groups, solve problems in real time, and discover what you’re capable of when you step outside your comfort zone. Academic credit recognizes that these skills are just as valuable as anything learned in traditional settings.

Your responsibility: Communicate with us about what you need to complete your study

Why Academic Credit Matters

When you earn credit for your Outward Bound experience, you’re recognizing skills that serve you everywhere: collaboration, resilience, empathy, problem-solving, and self-confidence. These are often the abilities that help you succeed in everything else you do, from academics to career to relationships.

Academic credit also acknowledges that powerful learning happens when you’re navigating real challenges with people who have your back—sometimes the most transformative education occurs outside lecture halls.
